where the analogy ends

where the analogy ends

Hello friend—you’re receiving this email as a part of morning reading, a daily reflection on the parts of life worth living for that you signed up for sometime last year. I've got a laundry list of additions, designs updates, and website pieces I want to make, but ultimately, I just wanted to bring this back. Thank you for reading, and a very happy New Year.

The End of the AnalogyJanuary 29

Good morning, friend.Remember:The good Lord gave us two eyes, two ears, and one mouth. So listen and watch twice as much as you talk. Of course, the good Lord also gave us two nostrils. So it’s probably in your interest to do more smelling than talking. Two hands, still just one mouth. So punch twice as often as you let anyone else talk. There are, of course, two feet. Very useful for running away from people trying to talk with their pathetic singular mouth. And who could forget two knees and two elbows? So the next time you think about talking, maybe take a deep breath, and opt for Muay Thai instead? Seems like whatever else the good Lord gave us, sometimes an analogy is just an analogy. Not a fact. Journal Prompt: What's an analogy in (or for) your life that has stopped being useful?
