April 24 | How Far?

You’ve got to be careful with slippery slopes.

Once you start seeing them, you’ll start seeing them everywhere.

You might begin just hearing about one, a certain policy, change at work, or habit that someone calls a slippery slope to something else. Next thing you know, you start dropping it in casual conversation.

All of a sudden, nothing in your life is what it is. Everything is a gateway to something else, a 3 story, 45 degree vertical slope covered in enough vaseline to rival the fastest waterslides.

You’ll see your slippery slopes left and right, a world of slip-n-slides, like life became a game of chutes and ladders minus the ladders.

Of course, that’s taking things to far.

It’s amazing how easy it is to take things too far when you’re convinced one step will have gravity doing the rest of the work.
