Morning Reading for April 7
At this point in time—this far into life in the 21st century, with the screens of our phones and the keyboards of our laptops this well-worn with time—we can safely say we understand them.
We know the kind of smorgasboard of extremes the internet offers on the subject of opinions. The absolute edges of human support and experience, paraded in front of us daily.
So here’s the difficult truth: if we read the comments, and we let the comments get to us, at some point in time, we have to acknowledge that on some level, it’s our fault.
After all, the comments don’t seem to have changed much in the last ten years. And if you read history, of a time when people had to use pen, or paper, or pencil, or stone, they were saying the same shit then as they are today.
So if you decide that, despite everything, you still need to check for yourself, then that’s on you.
Thank you. Let’s have a great day.
