Morning Reading for April 15

GK Chesterton wrote, “dawn was breaking everywhere in colours at once clear and timid, as if nature made a first attempt at rose or a first attempt at gold.”

It’s a lovely line of prose, and probably the closest anyone has come to describing the sunrise.

Maybe the closest anyone ever will come. 

And it’s an actual, factual good that he wrote it.

But it’s still nothing like walking outside and seeing it for yourself.
