Morning Reading for April 18
Sigmund Freud was a genius whose contribution to modern psychology can’t be underestimated. Even if we don’t think what he thought, he was one of the first to even propose these kinds of things were worth thinking about.
With that being said, Freud was also into some pretty wild stuff. We probably wouldn’t want to look through his laptop.
That’s the awkward truth of history: Sir Isaac Newton may have discovered gravity but he still struggled to take the stairs. Socrates probably karen’ed a restaurant worker or two in his time. And even Jesus probably sliced his hand woodworking.
So if all our heroes are hypocrites, what’s so wrong with being hypocrites, so long as we’re hypocrites for a better world?
Thank you. Let’s have a great day.
