The Art of Catching Breezes
September 9
There’s no cage big enough to hold the wind. And as of this writing, no number of roses, love letters, or impassioned pleas have succeeded in convincing it to settle down, the breeze avoiding any and all attempts at seduction.
There’s no reasoning with the wind. It refuses to sit down for even the briefest of political dinners, ignoring calls from Moscow and the White House without even bothering to set up its voicemail.
The wind never writes home. Never texts back. Never shows up to meetings or schedules PTO. It goes where it pleases and does what it wants and refuses to settle down for anyone.
And yet, if you want to catch a breeze, all you really have to do is wait.
Morning Reading is a daily email to help center yourself, reflect, and prepare for the day. It’s sent with love from your friend, Zach in Austin, Texas. He even drew the logo himself.
