the page you read today

Morning Reading for August 9

The page you read today is one you won’t have to read tomorrow.

Gets you one step closer to the page that may make all the difference.

Yes, it’s only one page. Roughly 200 words depending on the size of the book. Less than the essays you wrote in middle school.

But it’s not just one page, it’s a flag, stuck next to the line in the sand, fluttering nouns and verbs in a calm breeze, boldly stating to the world: today I took the time to read.

Could we become so wise as to finally learn to never underestimate doing a little every day? No matter how little the little?

It may feel like a small defiance today, a childish step, but its one a whole host of tomorrows will thank you for.

Thank you. Let’s have a great day.
