you don't know them

Morning Reading for August 10

“You don’t know them like I do.”

You don’t understand their complexities. Their background. Their personality and their trauma.

You don’t understand the complications of the industry. The lay of the land. The distinct nature and history of the territory.

You don’t get the subtleties of the prose. The finesse of the brush. The sublimity of flavor the chef spent hours preparing.

You’re right. We don’t know them like you know them.

So teach us.

What else would be the point of knowing?

Thank you. Let’s have a great day.
