terms and conditions

Morning Reading for August 22

No one asked us if we were interested in existing. No one gave us the opportunity to decide where we were born, to which parents, to how many siblings, in what country. No one let us vote on the color of our eyes, the size of our feet, which knee would pop and crackle more readily.

We’re all stuck living in light of a lot of facts we didn’t choose, trying to accept reality on its own terms—terms it has yet to reveal to any of us fully.

Thank you. Let’s have a great day.
