In Defense of the Knife
January 8
Here’s an argument for bringing a knife to a gunfight:
You could use the knife to open a package. Something prepared beforehand. Cut back the ropes of tape doubled around the box, revealing a very interesting looking book, interesting enough that everyone decides to stop shooting long enough to get a closer look.
You could learn some tricks with your knife, maybe one of those fancy butterfly situations, flipping the handle around your thumb, long enough for everyone to put their guns down to give it a try.
Bringing a knife to a gunfight is only a mistake if you’re siding with the bullets.
If the goal is to get people to stop shooting, then it might be a good place to start.
Thank you. Let’s have a great day.
