Dowhat

April 12

We get what we get because we do what we do.

But we do what we do because we get what we get.

If we were to get what we don’t yet get, or in some instances, get what we previously got, we would do what we don’t, which would let us do what we wish we did instead of what we do.

Instead of mostly sitting around don’t-ing what we don’t.

Most self help advice comes down to changing the “do” part to change the “get” part.

Do something else to get something else.

Or you could imagine the world’s biggest, sharpest pair of scissors, and cut the assumed link of cause and effect you believe.

Will that help you? Who knows.

After all, this isn’t self help advice.

Self help advice is already a current part of the “do” which leads to the “get”.

And all sorts of other verb and adverb salad.

Morning Reading is a daily email to help center yourself, reflect, and prepare for the day. It’s sent with love from your friend, Zach in Austin, Texas. He even drew the logo himself.
