Physics tells us that electrons, like humans, don’t particularly like people looking over their shoulder, measuring location or velocity or this that or the other thing, mucking around with human problems in an electron world.
We can keep our hands behind our back, say every please and excuse me, and do our best to avoid expressing any opinion. But the act of even observing something changes it.
What does it mean to treat all of life as if it were this dynamic—changed not only by contribution but by the mere presence of those around us, or the presence of us?
More responsible, more culpable, and, like a parent of the situations we create, more proud?
