Everything

August 1

Everything is easy to miss. There, gone, hard to find on any kind of cosmic timeline, easy to lose in the vast sum of human history, impossible to be present for more than few moments of even the shortest day.

Everything is easy to find. Happening somewhere. Behind doors, yes, but doors often left unlocked, opened with a hand and disarmed with a smile.

Everything is easy to lose. Moments and experiences slipping through minds more like sieves than buckets, memories and belongings misplaced somewhere, anywhere, everywhere.

Everything is easy to love. Like forgoing the work of deciding which clothes to keep and which to donate, slapping a label on a box, calling it all your own, and putting it on an infinite shelf, as generous towards reality as you are blind.

Everything is easy to hold—measured somewhere in the infinite space between your ears, always accessible, always out of reach.

Morning Reading is a daily email to help center yourself, reflect, and prepare for the day. It’s sent with love from your friend, Zach in Austin, Texas. He even drew the logo himself.
