It Exists

It exists in the news. Tales of far off places. People doing evil things, being deceived, choosing malice and maladies large and small. 

It exists in the past. Stories of what went wrong, of everything humanity has done to strip itself of humanity, committing every injustice that was never before even imaginable. 

It exists in our minds. Contrary feelings and unexpected reactions, moment of rage, anger, hate, frustration, logic loops and shortcomings, only some of which are known to us. 

So if everything that is wrong with the world exists—and we know it exists—why would we be surprised when we encounter it in our real lives?

Bad management. Selfishness. Anger. Fear. Extremism. Phobias and phobes of every kind. 

When we encounter them—should we act as if we haven’t had time to prepare?
