but wait there's

Morning Reading for February 23

When you have a locked in ten year plan—precisely mapping out exactly what it is you’re going to do for the next four thousand or so days—the chaos of the universe is your biggest enemy. Things change and the most carefully laid plans suffer.

Conversely, if your plans are already wrecked—or if you have no plans at all—and you’re stuck wondering what next, the chaos of the universe might very well be the best part of the whole bargain.

Because you could lay in another plan. And maybe you should. But you could also just wait. Like a poker player, patiently folding hands, ready for the next card whenever it comes.

The world shifts, the landscape changes, the opportunities change. Not always good, not always right, not always for the better, but always more.

Thank you. Let’s have a great day.
