Hanging Your Hat

November 17

You can hang your hat on your work—tell all the intangibles to fuck off, all the corporate platitudes and social niceities, and ask to be judged strictly on your results.

Or you could do the opposite and hang your hat on your integrity, on taking care of all the little details and doing the process right so you have something to stand on if it doesn’t all work out.

But no one buys a hat without the intention of wearing it—at least sometime.

So maybe you should hang your hat on your own head?
