The Inner Volcano
January 22
Maybe it’s been dormant for years, long overgrown, only living in the memories of your oldest friends.
Or maybe everyone already knows to duck and cover on the daily, finding shelter anywhere they can.
You could call it anger. Frustration. Unadulterated, uncut, pure 200-proof rage, strong enough to split the tectonic plates of your brain and boil over until Pompei pales in comparison.
Of course, so long as the inner volcano remains inner, it’s not really a problem. Let her rip, let her rage, let the lava flow like no lava has ever flown before.
It’s only when it bubbles over into the outside world that it becomes destructive—not just an interesting metaphor, but a problem for everyone you love.
Thank you. Let’s have a great day.
