July 17 | Written in the Stars

The whole course of the universe is written in the stars. Every atom and every evening, meandering at a casual 299 million meters per second, hurtling its way towards a space and time where every imaginable opposite comes into a whole, grand unity. 

Of course, there is no google translate for stars. No presently found star Rosetta Stone. No language learning apps or hirable talent to read and decipher whatever is written in the cosmos.

We can could wring our hands in the hopelessness of it all, or beat our chests, singing our hymns, trying desperately to convince ourselves we know.

But if you’re willing to let your mind wander—all the way back to the start of it—and let science have their theories about black holes and red dwarfs and the nature of molecules—then you might find yourself realizing that we’re all built out of stuff that comes from stars. 

Which means, even if we’ll never have the chance to read what we make, we’re a part of what is written in the stars too.… Read the rest
