paying rent

Morning Reading for July 15

You pay the bill on your phone, or at least make sure someone else does. It would be worthless to you without it.

You pay for your car. Maybe monthly, maybe just with every oil change, every sparkplug swapped, every time you fill it up with gasoline.

You pay your rent, or your mortgage, and understand how dire the consequences would be if you did not.

So how do we convince ourselves we don’t have to pay our keep on the planet?

Simply because it never sends us letters in the mail letting us know we’re overdue?

Thank you. Let’s have a great day.
