tomorrow morning

Morning Reading for July 23

Tomorrow morning the critic will be gone.

Tucked away in their critical bed, laying next to their critical spouse, dreaming critical dreams of waking up and scrambling critical eggs.

Tomorrow morning, if they’re good at their job, the critic will be clearing their head. Trying to reset the palate. Thinking carefully on what they’ve said the last 24 hours, then letting it go. If they’re bad, well, they’ll just be gearing up to wreck some other poor soul’s day.

Either way, come tomorrow morning, the critic won’t be here anymore.

But you will be. Packing your lunch, putting on your workboots, and heading to another day of work.

So how much weight will you give to the words of the critic? Because they’re not the ones who have to go to work tomorrow—you are.

Thank you. Let’s have a great day.
