Morning Reading for June 16
If we tell ourselves we’re willing to be brave for our dreams—fix our pens like fucking bayonets and write our way uphill under fire—
If we tell ourselves we’re willing to experience great loss for our dreams—selling each and every last one of our precious, cherished, sacred objects to bet the farm—
If we tell ourselves we’re willing to undergo trials for our dreams—stepping into the fire of our own free will for no reason other than finding out what remains on the other side—
Then shouldn’t we be willing to risk people thinking we’re a little silly?
A little daft, a little out of touch, a little dated, not up to date with the trends or the stratagems?
Is that so great a cost that we’re not willing to pay it?
Ready to lay down our lives, but not our egos?
Thank you. Let’s have a great day.
