predictably unpredictable

Morning Reading for June 21

“How do you feel about it” is a great question, but one we almost always ask when we really mean “what do you feel about it?”

But given the choice between who, what, when, where, and why you feel about something, how is by far the most interesting question.

Because truthfully, we don’t know how feel. We don’t know the mechanisms that rule it all, the illogical-but-logical, predictably-unpredictable nature of the feeling mechanism within each of us.

We just know that we do feel, that we don’t get to choose what we feel, and that despite the danger of the game of feeling, it’s a far worse bargain to ignore our feelings.

So how do we feel?

Thank you. Let’s have a great day.
