A little, a little
March 31
A little older, a little wiser.
Probably a little more set in our ways.
But at least now we have ways to be set in—places and ideas and things and modes of being that really are ours. Not simply borrowed from others.
If we are stuck existing through a period of time then it may be worth stopping and asking what we could do with time? How will time effect us? What will the outplaying of our nature be over the course of multiple goes round the block?
How could we be, as Rilke put it, “no longer pawns of time.”
Or maybe we’ll still be pawns of time, marching down the board of life as we can.
Who knows?
Morning Reading is a daily email to help center yourself, reflect, and prepare for the day. It’s sent with love from your friend, Zach in Austin, Texas. He even drew the logo himself.
