Your Lucky Break
May 30
After years of attentiveness, work, labor, and diligence, you finally catch one. The right person notices all the effort you put in. You meet someone powerful who needs a hand with something you happen to know a lot about. You stumble into a new friend group that happens to need someone exactly like you. You get “the call”.
We spend most of our time trying to figure out how to catch a lucky break. Where they’ll come from. How to manufacture, manifest, or outright plunder them from the belly of karma, taking from the universe what is rightfully ours.
Of course, when we look to those in our field who are great, we rarely see their break as lucky. How could that much talent, effort, and potential go unrealized for forever? When we look at the Beatles, Tolstoy, Anthony Bourdain, we don’t think they got lucky, we think the people who found them got lucky.
Lucky breaks come in all shapes and sizes. They may slog their way to us across years of hard work, or show up knocking on the door unexpectedly, dropping into our laps with effortless grace.
But they all come in the form of a question, an invitation from the universe to transform luck into inevitability. To shape what was once improbable into the certain reality of today.
What will you do with your lucky break?
