Do you ever lay awake at night and wonder what it’s like to be a baseball player’s pair of lucky game-day socks? The ones they wear every single time they’re starting?

Sure, you have all the stories told about you. You’’re never thrown out. No one would ever handle you carelessly enough to lose your pair, your, well, sole mate. And everyone (begrudgingly) puts up with you, through thick and thin, stinking your way to a front-row seat to all the action.

Of course, if you were that pair of socks, you might be envious for some of a sock’s life’s simple pleasures. A bath, for starts. Days off. A chance to really prove your way in the world. Maybe even a shot at adventure, possibly mixing things up, being worn on the wrong foot or—even—have a day out with a unknown partner. 

It’s impossible to tell. After all, they’re just socks.
