throwing strays

Morning Reading for March 22

The question we often ask in our head before we speak is what the person or thing we’re about to speak about deserves—precisely how much positivity or negativity the subject deserves.

We may be fair judges or foul, tilting the scales towards either end of the spectrum depending on our taste.

But you could choose to play a different game—take a step back from the particular situation and look at the generalized one. How much positivity are you putting into the world as a whole?

Is it possible we would all enjoy this world together more if we were less concerned with the specifics? Still willing to pass some negativity, yes, but negativity buoyed on a tidal wave of joy?

Not just catching strays, but throwing them, tossing wonderful thoughts and compliments into a universe ready to receive them.

Thank you. Let’s have a great day.
