making it

Morning Reading for May 12

Isn’t that what we all we want to do?

To lean back, from the most comfortable, most expensive of chairs, knowing in our heart of hearts our friends and family are all saying—when they talk of us, which is often—that “iIm so glad they made it”.

Or, at the very least, “can you believe they made it?”

Most of us really haven’t achieved that. Or even close to it. And would really like to discover that people don’t really say those things about us—they don’t really say anything about us. Or even think of us much at all.

The good news is that, while we’ve clarified that we dream of making it, we’ve really yet to clarify what “it” is.

Or the ramifications of what making it really means.

Maybe that part is left to you?

Thank you. Let’s have a great day.
