what we all want

If all most of us want is to be appreciated—

Appreciated for what we are, for what we make, for what we could make, for what we could be—

Then isn’t our task to become appreciators?

To go out of our way to sincerely enjoy the things other people have made? And if not what they make, or in addition to what they make, for who they are?

Isn’t that the world we want to live in?
