people change

Morning Reading for May 24

Sometimes it’s thrown around as a reason to take someone back. To look the other way or let something slide. People change, so you should assume that other people already have changed, and changed for the better.

Sometimes it’s used as some kind of profound observation. Like the fact that someone else will change should stop you from perceiving them the way they are now, making a decision in light of who you know them to be.

But maybe the simplest way of saying people change is to observe that you are people.

Which means you change, too.

What would it look like to afford your future self the luxury of change? Leaving wiggle-room for something not-currently you?

Thank you. Let’s have a great day.
