Drawing the Line
November 6
The line between right and wrong isn’t precisely straight and narrow.
It doesn’t bend at 90 degree angles or exist on a strict Euclidean plane.
It finds itself out of plumb, defying the protractor, bending and warping and then running impossibly straight, never quite finding C squared to equal A squared plus B squared.
In fact, the line between right and wrong tends to behave unlike any other line we know, or can think of, so much so that it’s easy to forget the single most important fact—that, despite it’s warping, misgivings, bendings, and downright tomfoolery—the line between right and wrong exists.
Morning Reading is a daily email to help center yourself, reflect, and prepare for the day. It’s sent with love from your friend, Zach in Austin, Texas. He even drew the logo himself.
