Practice Not-Doing

June 2

Here is a blank space.

Space that could be filled with words, and often should, and often must. Words hauled from the depths of the soul, plucked from the skies, thoughts and feelings heated and forged until they glimmer with hard-won light.

Beautiful to read, yes. Important, yes. But if we fill every space with words, where will the next words go? Where is the space to choose? If what is left unsaid says as much as what is said, then should we not leave space?

Should we not practice not-doing?

Morning Reading is a daily email to help center yourself, reflect, and prepare for the day. It’s sent with love from your friend, Zach in Austin, Texas. He even drew the logo himself.
