Good morning, friend.

Some things never die.

But the unfortunate bit about dying is that it’s rather permanent.

It’s awfully hard to figure out what won’t die without trying to kill it. It’s not like you can just kill something a little bit to find out whether or not it sticks.

So yes, your creative spark, your unending optimism, your stick-with-it-through-anything attitude—

They very well might never die. But do you really want to find out? Or do you want to guard them? Protect them? Nurture them?

Like whatever good thing within you is a spring of life, worth protecting with your life.
