Running in Silk Pajamas
September 24
You could wax eloquent about the hustle—the Marvin Hagler quote, the boxers who said “it’s harder to get up and run at 5am when you’re sleeping in silk pajamas.” A great line about how hard it is to stay hungry once you’ve experienced a little success.
Or you could think about the soft swish, swish of silk against silk—a bead of sweat, running away from the tiny, woven fibers, still soft after all these years. More silk than half the peasant kings of old would ever see at once in their lifetime, now relegated to your morning runs.
Would you rather run in silk pajamas, or run away from them?
Morning Reading is a daily email to help center yourself, reflect, and prepare for the day. It’s sent with love from your friend, Zach in Austin, Texas. He even drew the logo himself.
