stop paying attention

Morning Reading for September 1

The nice thing about having no one paying attention to what you’re doing is that you can do anything.

You can safely change your mind, then change your mind again, flip-flopping your tactics like a philosophical rotisserie chicken.

And once you get it right, once you find the thing you want to make, or believe, if people start to pay attention—well, now you have an audience to test it against.

Until then, your greatest challenge is your greatest advantage. No one is paying attention. Not even you, fully. Which means you can try whatever you want.

Thank you. Let’s have a great day.
