The only thing left to fear is fear itself.

This sounds great on paper but fails to take several important points into account: sharks. Running with scissors. Guys in the mall dressed in button up shirts and slacks trying desperately to convince you to change cell phone carriers.

In a world full of scary things, we go around telling ourselves to not be afraid, trying to talk our brains out of keeping us alive in exchange for playing it cool—

So maybe the only thing we have left to fear is people finding out that we’re afraid?
