If walls could talk, what stories would they say?

What wisdom would they bring from the past? What snarky comments would they drop at the worst times?

Would they tell us of dreams—memories of being a tree, a can of paint, hopes of one day being recycled into a book, a dollhouse, a terribly overpriced reclaimed wood coffee table?

We’ll never know, because walls can’t talk. Can’t absorb the love of the ages, can’t synthesize everything they’ve seen into words.

But you can. Which means the responsibility of talking stays with you—what will you say for these walls?
